Generation

Sylvain Boudreault and Simon Mayrand met in Quebec City in 1983. Driven by a shared vision of progressive soundscapes, they founded Generation and began a prolific songwriting partnership. As other members joined the fold, the band’s identity solidified, blending complex arrangements with the raw idealism of youth. As true Gen Xers standing on the threshold of adulthood, they channeled their experiences into their music, capturing the essence of their first "early quiet crisis." This collection, originally recorded in the spring of 1985, stands as a haunting testament to their creative journey through the "Afterland" of the mid-80s.
